The 2025 extraordinary meeting of EACC took place in Addis Ababa on February 19, 2025. Each day commenced at 6:30 with Lauds, followed by Holy Mass, and concluded at 18:45 with the prayer of Vespers. The agenda for the meeting included:
- Reading the previous minutes of meeting and approval
- Updates of each circumscription
- Ratio Formationis Localis for EACC, Councilors of formation;
- Presentation of newly amended and approved Statutes of EACC.
- AOB

The meeting was officially commenced by Br. Patrice, who welcomed the attendees and explained his role, which began a few months ago at Curia, aimed at nurturing the life of the brothers to ensure it thrives across the continent. He then urged the conference to place significant emphasis on the preparation for PANAF, which is scheduled to take place in February 2027.
The outcomes of the meeting were as follows:
- Each circumscription has provided insights into its life, activities, and the overall circumstances surrounding the situation in which the brothers reside. While there are a few specific aspects unique to each, there are also numerous commonalities. The majority have indicated that they primarily engage in pastoral services, and in most instances, both the individuals they serve and the local ordinaries express satisfaction with the pastoral services being offered. The number of vocations varies from one circumscription to another; however, all are experiencing a healthy influx of vocations. Many are collaborating with other circumscriptions, and a significant number of their members are working outside their own circumscriptions. With the exception of a few, the majority are facing economic challenges, which have adversely affected their formation programs.
- The draft of the ratio formationis localis of EACC has been prepared by Br. Kamilus Bajuta and distributed to all participants, who have collectively agreed to review it and reconvene during the next meeting.
- The brothers currently working in South Sudan have requested that the conference send additional brothers to assist them. The participants have agreed to consider this request and to brainstorm ideas for the upcoming meeting.
- The brothers from Eritrea are preparing to celebrate their golden Jubilee and have extended an invitation to everyone to join them in prayer. They have also requested the possibility of securing a professor specializing in philosophy and the English language.
- The proposed agenda items for the next meeting include: the election of the EACC presidential council; updates regarding the circumscriptions; approval of the EACC Ratio formationis localis; discussions on the feasibility of an annual publication; considerations for establishing various commissions; and deliberations on the potential creation of an EACC legal department.
The meeting is scheduled to adjourn on February 19, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
